Morning Brief: Your Daily Setup Digest

By Squeeze Setups · Updated June 2026

Goal: Open the day with a short, ranked list of setups to look at, and know what each one needs before you act.

You need: a Squeeze Setups account and two minutes. The Brief is generated for you.

The Morning Brief is a dated daily digest. Instead of scanning all 614 names, you get a short list of stocks that are firing, close to firing, or in a squeeze with a real backtest edge behind them. Each row is one stock, and five columns cover it: Symbol, Squeeze, Signal, Edge (22yr), and Status. Read them left to right and you know whether a name is worth a closer look before the open.

The Morning Brief: a dated daily digest of the setups worth your attention, one row per stock.

What are the five columns?

The Brief keeps it deliberately narrow. Here is what each column carries and how to read it.

Column What it tells you
Symbol The ticker, with price and percent change.
Squeeze The dots, one per shown timeframe. Dot color is the tier (yellow Slow, red Normal, black Fast and tightest, green Fired), and the number on the dot is bars in the squeeze.
Signal Two stacked lines: a Market Pulse event (Trend Reversal or First Pullback) with its own backtest on the name, and below it the live trigger (Slingshot Squeeze or Squeeze Signal) if one is firing, otherwise “squeeze building”.
Edge (22yr) The per-symbol 22-year backtest record, the strongest of the three pillars for ranking.
Status Where the name stands right now: in a squeeze, fired, or running.

How do I read the Signal column?

The Signal column stacks two different things, and you need to tell them apart to read the Brief.

The headline is a Market Pulse event. Market Pulse is the trend gate behind every row, and the Brief leads with its latest event on the name: Trend Reversal (shown in navy) when the pulse turns back up, or First Pullback (shown in teal) when price takes its first pullback inside an up pulse. Each event carries its own backtest on that symbol, a win rate and a profit factor, shown as something like “63% win, 1.7 PF”, so you can see how that specific event has paid on that specific name.

Below it is the live trigger. This is the actual setup firing now: a gold Slingshot Squeeze or a cyan Squeeze Signal with its timeframe, entered while the squeeze is still on. If nothing has triggered yet, this line reads squeeze building, which means compression is still tightening and you are early. A LONG or SHORT badge marks the direction.

Next to the trigger is a one-word read on where price sits relative to its mean: near mean or extended. “Near mean” is the better spot to enter from. “Extended” warns that price is already a long way above its average, so the easy part of the move may be behind it.

How do I use it to start the day?

Work the list top down. The Brief leads with the names that have both a triggered signal and a positive edge, so the first few rows usually deserve the most attention. For each one:

  1. Check the Status and the lower Signal line. “FIRED” means the green dot is already up, and the green fire is our exit, not our entry. A name showing “in squeeze” with a Slingshot Squeeze or Squeeze Signal trigger (not just “squeeze building”) is the live setup: the trigger is in while the squeeze is still on.
  2. Read the Market Pulse event and the mean note. A trigger that is “near mean” is cleaner than one that is “extended.”
  3. Glance at Edge (22yr). One trade in three still lost in our backtest, so a higher per-symbol win rate and positive expectancy matter. Figures are historical, before commissions and slippage, and never a forecast.
  4. Open the row in the symbol drawer or Charts to confirm the trend stack and timeframe confluence before you do anything.

The Brief is a filter, not a buy list. It surfaces what changed and what is set up; the decision still runs through the three pillars: backtest edge, timeframe confluence, and a stacked EMA 8 over 21 over 34 trend. If you want the deeper end-of-day version of this, the Reports page recaps what actually fired and closed during the session.
